The company expanded its operations in 2019 by setting up a new state of the art manufacturing plant in Karjan, Gujarat. Keeping in line with its commitment to Make In India, Plasser India in 2021 setup a new Tamping Unit manufacturing plant in Karjan which today is undoubtedly Plasser & Theurer’ s largest tamping unit facility in the world.
The Karjan plant will not only manufacture track maintenance machines and tamping units for the India market but also export as the company prepares to meet increased demand.
The Karjan plant is a Green Factory Building Certified and conforms to world class quality, environmental, health & safety standards and is Integrated Management System (IMS) certified.
